The Fullness of Passover

The Passover starts in the Old Covenant, and that is where we will start so we can get an idea what it is, and how it applies.

Exodus 11:4 And Moses said, Thus saith Yehovah, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:
Exodus11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
Exodus 11:6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
Exodus 11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that Yehovah doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
Exodus 11:8 And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.
Exodus 11:9 And
Yehovah said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.
Exodus 11:10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and
Yehovah hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

Exodus 12:1 And Yehovah spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
Exodus 12:2
This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
Exodus 12:3
Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house:
Exodus 12:4
And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
Exodus 12:5
Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
Exodus 12:6
And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
Exodus 12:7
And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
Exodus 12:8
And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Exodus 12:9
Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
Exodus 12:10
And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
Exodus 12:11
And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is Yehovah's passover.

Let's see what Passover means...
Hebrew 6453
פּסח
pesach
peh'-sakh
From H6452; a pretermission, that is, exemption; used only technically of the Jewish Passover (the festival or the victim): - passover (offering).

Exodus 12:49  “There is one Torah for the native-born and for the stranger who sojourns among you.”
Exodus 12:50  And all the children of Yisra’ĕl did as Y
ehovah commanded Mosheh and Aharon, so they did.
Exodus 12:51  And it came to be on that same day that
Yehovah brought the children of Yisra’ĕl out of the land of Mitsrayim (Egypt) according to their divisions.
The Scriptures 1998

So we see that Passover is an offering, with this in mind this is where is get's deep.
Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, Elohim will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that Yehovah was in the Messiah, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Genesis 22:9 And they came to the place which Elohim had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
Genesis 22:10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
Genesis 22:11 And the angel of Yehovah called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
Genesis 22:12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest Elohim, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
Genesis 22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
(Note thicket can also mean thorns, like the thorns that we around Messiah's head)

Genesis 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Yehovah-Yireh: as it is said to this day, On the mountain Yehovah provides.

Yeshua is the Passover that Yehovah provided for himself to reconcile the world unto Himself.
When He dies at 3:00 PM it was when the Sacrifice was being made for the nation and He was making an atonement for all people.

Exodus 12:12  For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am Yehovah.
Exodus 12:13
And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Here in the Old Covenant they had to be sealed in this blood of a male without blemish, just has in the New Covenant we are sealed in the Blood of our Savior Yeshua! HalleluYah!

Exodus 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to Yehovah throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
Exodus 12:15
Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
Who is Israel?
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without the Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without Elohim in the world:
Israel are the ones that believe in Yeshua
Galatians 3:29 And if ye be the Messiah's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Because of Messiah, the birthrights, and bloodlines have nothing to do with it anymore. What matters now is that you believer in Yeshua

Exodus 12:16 And in the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
Exodus 12:17
And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance forever.
Exodus 12:18
In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
Exodus 12:19
Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
Exodus 12:20
Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
Exodus 12:21
Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
Exodus 12:22
And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
Exodus 12:23
For Yehovah will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, Yehovah will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
Exodus 12:24
And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons forever.
Exodus 12:25
And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which Yehovah will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
Exodus 12:26
And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

Numbers 28:16 And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of Yehovah.
Numbers 28:17 And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.
Numbers 28:18 In the first day shall be an holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work therein:

Numbers 28:18 You are to hold a sacred assembly on the first day. You are not to do any laborious work.
TLV

Leviticus 23:5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yehovah's passover.
The passover belongs to Yehovah!

This was done so that the Israelites would not forget the liberation from the Egyptians, although the in the New Testament it has a deeper meaning, and that deeper meaning was hinted to in the in the deliverance from their captors. That deliverance is Yeshua.

1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah our passover is sacrificed for us:
This is why we need to follow passover, because purging out the leaven of our homes literally is hard to do.
Sin it is hard to purge out from our lives. Clearly this verse states that Yeshua is our passover, just as in the Old Covenant if your house was sealed with the blood you, and you family were safe. The same can be said about being sealed in the blood of Yeshua.

Exodus 12:17
And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance forever.
Take Note to the word "forever"

Exodus 12:19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
Exodus 12:20
Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
Take Note to the word "stranger" rather a Israelite or a stranger you will be cut off from the congregation of Israel, and being that Christians are grafted into Israel then they have a duty to follow the Scriptures

We need to walk just as Yeshua walked...

1 John 2:6 whoever claims to abide in Him must walk just as He walked.
TLV

Yeshua was Holy, Righteous, Just, and Blameless because He, and His followers followed the Commandments of Yehovah.

Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete.
Matthew 5:18For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.
Matthew 5:19 “Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.
Matthew 5:20 “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall by no means enter into the reign of the heavens.
The Scriptures 1998

As you can see here in these verses the Torah was not nullified by Yeshua as so many erroneously teach.

The True Life Giving Bread:
John 6:48 I am that bread of life. Yeshua is our bread of life!
John 6:49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
John 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
John 6:52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
John 6:53 Then Yeshua said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

John 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
John 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
This is showing His sacrifice, not transsubstantionation. His body was broken, and His blood was shed.
If we partake of communion passover we do it in a worthy manner then He enters into us as being unleavened, meaning, and showing that we are purged from our sins, because we obeyed His Words, and the Heavenly Father's Words.
John 6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever.
John 6:59 things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
John 6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it?
John 6:61 When Yeshua knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
John 6:62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
This shows His preexistance
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
We see very clearly that Yeshua is the bread of life! We also see that the Messish's Words are life as well.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of Elohim.
We are to live by every Word of Yehovah! The Word of Yehovah, and the Word of Yeshua are life, and therefore we should follow their Words obediently!

Feet Washing:
John 13:5 After that He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.
John 13:6 Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, Master, do You wash my feet?
John 13:7 Yeshua answered and said to him, You do not know what I do now, but you shall know hereafter.
John 13:8 Peter said to Him, You shall never wash my feet. Yeshua answered him, Unless I wash you, you have no part with Me.
John 13:9 Simon Peter said to Him, Master, not my feet only, but also my hands and head.
John 13:10 Yeshua said to him, He who is bathed has no need except to wash his feet, but is clean every whit. And you are clean, but not all.
John13:11 For He knew who would betray Him. Therefore He said, You are not all clean.
John 13:12 So after He had washed their feet and had taken His garments and had reclined again, He said to them, Do you know what I have done to you?
John13:13 You call Me the Teacher, and Master, and you say well, for I AM.
John13:14 If then I, the Master and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.
John13:15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.
With John 13:14,15 in mind no one can say that it is just symbolic, because why would Yeshua say that He has given us an example that we should do? Why would He tell us to Take up thy cross / stake, and to follow Him? That is not an symbolic act, that is a literal act!
Mark 10:21 Then Yeshua beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lack go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

John 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his master; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
John 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Yeshua unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
We clearly see here that we must be obedient to the Scriptures, and follow Yeshua, and His examples that He set for us.
Matthew 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

John 14:6 Yeshua saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Yeshua is the truth, and He is the Passover, as well as the bread of life, we need to seek diligently after Yeshua.
Yes Passover, and
unleavened bread are for Christians, because we see this Holy Time kept in the Book of 1 Corinthians 5:8 the early Church kept Passover, and Unleavened Bread, and all Believers should adhere to them, just as the Scriptures states.

In the old Covenant Passover is about freeing the ancient Israelites from captivity / slavery / Egypt.
In the New Covenant Passover is about being freed from captivity / slavery / sin.
This is how Yeshua completed / fulfilled the law...the lamb without blemish in the Old Covenant points to Yeshua being the lamb without blemish.
The last supper represents the meal that we shall share in it's fullness with Yeshua in the Kingdom.

Seder means "order"
Passover seder usually a home ritual

The seder plate, and each food on it has a symbolic meaning...

A roasted shank bone represents the pesach sacrifice.

An egg
represents spring, and the circle of life.

Bitter herbs
represents the bitterness of slavery.

Haroset (an Applesauce-like mixture with wine nuts, and apples, ect represents the mortor used by the Ancient Israelites in Egypt.

Karpas or greens often parsley to

Matza (Unleavened Bread) The broken Matza represents Yeshua's body that was broken / killed for our sins.
The holes in the Matza represents Yeshua's side being pierced.
The Stripes on the Matza represents the stripes that Yeshua received while being beating.

Also placed on the table are thee pieces of matza a cracker like unleavened bread that
represents the bread the Israelites took with them when they fled Egypt, and salt water to represent the tears of the slaves.

Torah commands that at least four symbolic cups of wine be consumed during the Passover seder.

There are only three things on the seder plate that are Commanded...

1. The Shank Bone
2. Bitter Herbs
3. Motzas.

Four things Yehovah said he would do...

I will bring you out of Egypt.
I will deliever you from bondage.
I will redeem you with an outstretched arm.
I will take you to me for a people.

During the Passover Seder we will drink four glasses of wine:
The Cup of Sanctification,
the Cup of Plagues,
The Cup of Redemption and
the Cup of Praise.

We will say the traditional Jewish prayer before drinking each cup. I would also like to point out that there is traditional meaning with each cup as well as Yeshua's fulfillment.

SANCTIFICATION:
Traditional - We are to be clean of yeast.
Fulfillment - We are to be clean of sin -- Yeshua is the only way to be cleansed of our sins.

PLAGUES:
Traditional - Remembrance of the Plagues in Egypt
Fulfillment - Remembrance of our trials and tribulations - develops perseverance, humility and maturity in our walk with the Lord

REDEMPTION:
Traditional - Symbolizes the blood of the Passover lamb who saved the Israelites from death
Fulfillment - Yeshua is our Passover Lamb who's blood saved us from death. This cup is the cup used in communion or The Lord's Supper.

PRAISE:
Traditional - Give thanks to God for guiding the Israelites out of Egypt
Fulfillment - We are to always have praise on our lips for our salvation that is given through Yeshua.

Sometimes people put an extra cup out for EliYah whose siprit visits on Passover
.
Some see this has not needed because EliYah already came in the form of John the Baptist.
