Genesis 5:4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
Genesis 5:5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
Genesis 5:6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:
Genesis 5:7 And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:
Genesis 5:8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.
Genesis 5:9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:

Genesis 5:17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.

Genesis 5:22 And Enoch walked with Elohim after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
Genesis 5:23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with Elohim: and he was not; for Elohim took him.
Genesis 5:25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:
Genesis 5:26 And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:
Genesis 5:27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.
Genesis 5:28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:
Genesis 5:29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which YHWH hath cursed.

Also included in this difinition of genealogy is Elohim which is a very important element to help us understanding the deeper meaning here in this chapter of genealogy.

Jared	=	come down	Hebrew 3382 ירד yered yeh'-red From H3381; a descent; Jered, the name of an antediluvian, and of an Israelite: - Jared. H3381 ירד yârad yaw-rad' A primitive root; to descend (literally to go downwards; or conventionally to a lower region, as the shore, a boundary, the enemy, etc.; or figuratively to fall); causatively to bring down (in all the above applications): - X abundantly, bring down, carry down, cast down, (cause to) come (-ing) down, fall (down), get down, go (-ing) down (-ward), hang down, X indeed, let down, light (down), put down (off), (cause to, let) run down, sink, subdue, take down.

man appointed mortal possession praise of El come down teaching when he is dead it shall be sent powerful comfort rest

In a proper sentence structure the definitions would read:
Man appointed a mortal possession, praise of El to come down teaching, and when he is dead it shall be sent, a powerful comfort, and rest.

Now we have to ask ourselves a question, who is the praise of El, that came down teaching, died, and after His resurrection sent the comforter?
Answer: YHWH!!!
